The Gadgeteer went into their review with high expectations, because at this price a speaker has to earn its place. Mix did, for backyard gatherings and days out. They liked the sound, the removable battery and a design built around taking the music with you, and came away saying it exceeded what they'd hoped for. They're upfront that it's harder to justify for quiet listening at a desk. Fair. That's not what it's for.
