Dingy warehouse raves. Dusty backyard BBQs. Freezing tailgates. Melting beach parties. Soundboks users aren’t afraid to party in some hardcore places.

Every Soundboks is the same. We made these speakers so you could party on your terms. No matter the conditions, you can trust it to deliver mammoth sound. But after all the party’s thrills, spills, and bumps, you might need to show it a bit of TLC.

This quick guide will help your Soundboks stay in tip top condition. Here's how to clean your Soundboks 4 and keep it performing at its best.

Get Your Supplies

  • Allen key (included with your Soundboks 4)
  • Lint roller
  • Can of compressed air (for electronics)
  • Microfiber cloths (at least two)
  • Wet wipes
  • Soft brush

How to Clean Your Soundboks 4

1. Turn Off Your Soundboks & Unplug The Battery

Pretty simple, this. Make sure you turn off your Soundboks and remove The Battery from the speaker.

2. Pop The Grill

That Allen key we were talking about–you’re gonna want that. Use it to unscrew the grill before popping that bad boy off.

3. Blow Off Any Dirt and Dust

Now that you’ve removed the grill, that can of compressed air is in play. Hold the can completely level so that no chemicals spray onto the speaker–if it’s upside down or sideways, these chemicals could hurt the performance of the drivers. We don’t want that at all.

4. Wipe Away That Loose Grime

If you don’t have a can of compressed air, no stress. A clean makeup brush or a soft-bristle paint brush will work perfectly instead. Take extra care with the speaker cones, though. They’re a bit more sensitive than the rest of the speaker.

5. Grab a Damp Microfiber Cloth

Wet a microfiber cloth and wring it out until it is only slightly wet. Now you can gently wipe down the entire speaker, speaker cones and all. A super wet cloth could leave water marks behind.

6. Dry Any Excess Water

With your second (dry) microfiber cloth, remove any excess water on your speaker so no lint is left behind. If you don’t have an extra microfiber cloth, you can let your speaker air dry, but using regular fabrics is not advised as it will leave behind lint.

7. Lint Roller Engaged

That’s right. It’s time to break out the lint roller. Peel off that first and get ready to roll. Use it on both sides of the grill, top to bottom and side to side.

8. Use a Wet Wipe on the Grill

If you have wet wipes specifically made to clean electronics, use them on your grill. Just make sure to let it air dry after you’ve wiped it down.

Ready to Go Again

That’s all it takes to clean your Soundboks 4. Pretty simple, right? Now you have no excuses for going off-the-grid and partying in any conditions. Get out there and own the party.
